Another fun Pez dispenser.  Tonight was one of those nights where I just HAD to paint.  Glad I did.  Also took some more reference pics.  More to come....

another Pez dispenser.  Couldn't decide when I found them which to get, so I got all I liked... another one to come.  Makes a nice "odd" number and I really like when these little paintings are grouped in 3's.

I knew from the beginning of the "toy" series that I would paint a Pez dispenser. I have a cousin that collects them and have always thought they have alot of character (and character"s" I have found out!).  I finally found some that I liked so there will be more to come....

Private commission that I have working on.  I have several more I really need to do.  This one was such a nice change from the oils - although I do love to do both! 

different lighting on this one.  Seems more dramatic.  I have been experimenting using direct sunlight and I like some of the results.  I don't know if anyone else will see a differenc, but I like it.

another baby block.  I really like the cracked paint and faded letters on the sides of this one.  I hope to do more blocks, but have some "requests" out to friends with specific toys I would like to borrow of theirs to paint.  Will see if they can help and motivate me more.  This series has seemed to drain me more than the first, feels like I am not doing enough variety.  Am also going to try larger versions of some toys and see if that makes a difference...

Too many projects, too little time!  Several commissions and larger pieces are looming on me.  A few new display/marketing opportunities I am working on.  Kids activities - the life of an artist/mother!  Have to do better with time management.  I love the book "I'd Rather Be in the Studio" and am trying to implement many things - but still need to get in the studio in order to produce work!  Well, enough moaning and .... BACK TO THE STUDIO!
